What Causes Severe Itching, Numbness And Purple Discoloration In Right Foot?
About two days ago I woke up with intense itching and some numbness in the big toe of my right foot, only on the top side. No pain or stiffness, and no involvement of my other digits. The skin is discolored and red/purple, the nail bed also seems darker than usual. The most bothersome symptom is the intense itching. I do have a history of DVTs (two occasions). I take Xeralto, 60 yrs old White male, 260 lbs.

Hi,
I think you may be having gout.
You may need to do an X-ray of joint and blood tests for uric acid and creatinine levels in the blood. Also, your doctor may draw fluid from joint.
