What Causes Severe Itching On The Heel?

my heel was itchy behind the strap of my right foot sandel. Thought maybe heat rash from my feet swelling later in the day. this was a week ago sunday night. Then the itchiness continued and my skin started to feel rough-bumpy (small bumps). 2 days ago while itching I noticed some fluid on my ankle where the skin had broken. The itchiness is worse and the rash is moving up my leg.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms you described point towards a possible fungal infection. I would advise you to get a clinical examination by a dermatologist in person so that appropriate anti fungal drug can be prescribed. It will heal in 3 to 4 days.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Loveleen Sharma, General & Family Physician
