What Causes Severe Itching Sensation In Body While On Antibiotics?

I have been on antibiotics for three days. only 1 day ago I found a single lump on the right side of my I know that antibiotics can cause itching and swelling but i experience the pain more at night and it is difficult to sleep. I have had sever itching at night that feels like bugs but i have never shown signs of the warts. i am confused

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Severe itching can occur due to many reasons.
Severe itching associated with enlarged lymph nodes may be due to infestation with some bug e.g. scabies bug.
Scabies is characterized by severe itching all over the body sparing the scalp in adults.
It is characterized by burrow like lesions especially between the fingers and toes.
Besides infestation by bugs other causes include elevated bile salts in blood.
There are certain antibiotics which can raise bile salts in blood and hence cause itching
However, there should be a documented rise in bile salts.
Other cause of severe itching all over the body is dermatitis or eczema.
This is a primary skin disease characterized by dryness, flakiness and rash secondary to itching and pruritis.
A clinical assessment is required to figure out the cause of itching and hence plan its management.
