What Causes Severe Itching Throughout The Body With A History Of Eczema?

my skin is itching randomly everywhere. no rash. Started on my wrists and ankles then moved to my jawline & neck, after walking across a large lawn. Even on my scalp, approx 6 weeks??. I believe I may have been exposed to scabies a while back. I have had eczema since childhood no flareups at this time. Only meds I take is lisinopril - I am a nurse at a VA hospital. Have been under a huge amount of stress for over a year. im 56 years old.

Hello,

Stress may cause you to feel itchy all over your body. Dry skin, on the other hand, is a possible cause as well.
Scabies would cause small pimples so if you are not having skin lesions very likely you are not having scabies.

I would advise you to use moisturizing cream (with no odor or color, vaseline is very good) at least twice a day all over the body, or at least over the areas that itch the most. You can also use an antidandruff shampoo.

If the symptoms are not better in 4-5 days then you will need to see the doctor.
