What Causes Severe Joints Pain In Elbows, Knees And Shoulder Along With Vertigo?

I have suffered with joint paint, shooting pains(quick bursts) muscle twitches, numb hands and feet(the last 2 for 30+ years) for a number of years. I am a 51 year old male. I also have had 3 or 4 bouts of vertigo in the last 2-3 years. The joint pain has increased over the years and started in my elbows and shoulders than my knees. Than my feet started to hurt bad about a year and a half ago p, now just my right foot hurts a bit. My right shoulder recently started to hurt so much I have trouble sleeping and both wrists started to hurt just before that. These symptoms don t all occur at the same time but they do seem to all reoccur. The muscle twitches seem to occur in my upper arms and legs mostly but also in my stomach muscles and last for more than a week. There are other things but these are the common symptoms. Does this sound like anything in particular?

Hi Dear ,

As per you query you are suffering from severe joints pain in elbows, knees and shoulder along with vertigo . Well there can be many reasons for vertigo like benign paroxysmal positional vertigo , Vertigo may also be caused by inflammation within the inner ear sometimes due to infection , meniere's disease , acoustic neuroma and multiple sclerosis . But as you mention in query about arm pain i would suggest you to consult cardiologist once also to rule out any angina or stroke like condition . Consult ENT specialist for condition like meniere's disease . Doctor may order certain test like CT scan , MRI , blood test , audiometery test , rotatory chair test and ECG to confirm the diagnosis . Doctor may refer you to orthopedic surgeon for joint apin , elbow and knee. Doctor may prescribe ant emetic drug , sedatives , antibiotics and some ear aid . For now avoid bending foreword and drink green tea thrice a day .

Hope your concern has been resolved.
