What Causes Severe Knee Pain While On Eliquis?

I have been on a blood thinner (eliquist) since Tuesday of this week. I am still havibg a lot of pain in my knee and behind my knee. Cannot bend my knee. Would like to know if I can also take advil to help relieve some of this pain till I see my primary physician and hemotologist tomorrow?

Hello,

Yes, can use Advil but with caution. Better take Paracetamol until you see your primary physician and hematologist. We should evaluate at what extent the blood is getting thinned while on Eliquis? The blood tests are INR and pT-time.

Apply analgesic cream locally. Take oral glucosamine.
