What Causes Severe Left Flank Pain While Having Large Kidney Stones?

I have had left flank pain since last march/april. end of may it became severe enough that I went to ER and ended up hospitalized for a week with pancreatitus. They weren t able to find out what caused it. The left flank pain stayed and I just went to see my GP and he ran a CAT scan and called today to let me know I have a kidney stone too large to pass and blocking my urine flow and wants me to see a urologist. Could these 2 things be related? YYYY@YYYY

Hi,
Pain might be due to both problems you are having mainly seems due to kidney stones.
Both are different entities and not related except pain problem.
Consult urologist and get examined and investigated. like ultra sound, urine check up.
Ok and take care.
