What Causes Severe Leg Pain After Stent Implant In The Heart Artery?

on 4/21/16 I had some stents implanted and a blockage from my Knee down opened up on my left leg. For the past 4 or 5 days my left foot has been hurting on the top of the foot. I feel a burning sensation like the skin has been scraped off. The bottom of the foot seems slightly numb. It is not red or hot at all, but it is slightly swollen and hurts when walking. Could this be something connected to the recent procedure or something entirely different. Could it work itself out or do I need medical attention.

Ophthalmologist 's  Response
Hi,

It could be a separate clot in the leg. You should discuss with your cardiologist regarding the same.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Harshita, Ophthalmologist
