What Causes Severe Lower Back Pain Along With Headaches And Fatigue?

MY dad has been dealing with some health issues as far back as I can remember. He has been more open lately with some of his symptoms, as his health seems to be declining. He has recently spoke of severe low back pain that radiates, headaches, fatigue, yellow stool, weight loss.... He went to a doctor about a month ago that gave him antibiotics and then called him about two weeks later and said it looks like something may be going on with his kidneys and to follow up on Dec 14th. He hasn t heard from the doctor since. I called and got him in with my grandmothers doctor ( who is really past due for retirement ). I requested a urinalysis and some blood work. I m not sure what all they did since I didn t go with him to the appointment. I m leaning towards kidney, liver or pancreas problems. What do you think?

With the history of weight loss , fatigue and yellow stool, it is possible that he may have issues with his liver.

Blood tests to check the liver function should be done. This would include ast, alt, bilirubin, alkaline phosphatase, proteins. A full blood count and ESR (checks for inflammation in the body), should also be done.

Imaging of the abdomen and back may also be needed.
