What Causes Severe Lower Back Pain Post DaVinci Total Hysterectomy?

I had a DaVinci total hysterectomy on August 5, 2016. I am having severe lower back pain that started after going back to desk work. I know my back is compensating for the inability to use my abs. I have a 30 minute chair massage scheduled for tomorrow. Is this ok so soon after surgery as long as it is light pressure?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The back pain is probably caused by a desk position more than my hysterectomy. Da Vinci procedure is one of the safest and with fewer side effects. You may need up to six weeks to feel as your old self.

Doing a bit of physical therapy and physical activity (exercises) can help you to cope with pain.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
