What Causes Severe Lower Rib Cage Pain?

I have had some minor pain for a while(maybe a couple of yrs) recently ( within the last couple of months) a little worse - I have a high pain tolerance so it may be worse for others. It is located on my right side (feels like it is under the lower ribs) Is this possible liver cancer - no I m not scared yet

Thank you for the query.

Liver cancer does not give symptoms at all at early stage and the pain is the last symptoms.
Your symptoms can be caused by rib nerve irritation or gallstones. I suggest you to have abdominal ultrasound done at first. If negative, you should consult orthopedist and consider physical therapy.
