What Causes Severe Migraines And Neck Pain?

Hi, I have had chronic neck pain, not debilitating(I am 43 and work full time as RN in OR) have had hx of migraines since puberty, also manageable. Last May I fell and suffered concussion and head laceration. No CT scan was done since I passed mini mental exam and neuro check. Since then migraines are severe, neck pain is almost intolerable and have discomfort in left should that is growing to be a problem since it bothers me to reach arm around back. Do you think I would benefit from MRI of head and neck or better off seeing a ortho spine specialist? Mostly seeking diagnosis at this time and physical therapy perhaps

Hi,

Yes, You need to take prophylaxis for a migraine from a neurologist and hope it may help you and get rid of from a migraine.

For the neck, which looks spondylitis, visit a neurosurgeon for proper evaluation and treatment plan.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
