What Causes Severe Migraines And Vision Loss In One Eye?

My dear friend suffers from migranes. She is currently using Botox treatments, which have become increasingly painful and do not seem altogether effective. Now one of her eyes has apparently started to die. She has very little vision in it. Could there be a relationship between the Botox treatments every other month for the last three years, and the degeneration of her eye? She is also trying to get a prescription for medical marijuana. Her doctor would rather prescribe opiods, and will not consider marijuana. Opiods cannot be healthy, can they? She is 60 years old and has a defibulator implanted for her heart. All things considered, what kind of doctor could help her best?

Hello,

As per your history, she is having severe migraine problems and progressive vision loss in one eye. I think she must be having any brain lesion, for that she needs to consult a neurologist first. Second, I don't think there is any direct relationship between the Botox and migraine to the eye, but if the augmentation is around the eye it may be the cause of concern.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
