What Causes Severe Mood Swings While On Nortriptyline?

I am currently on 50mg of nortriptoline per day for sciatic issues. I am a 52 year old male in good shape. Ive been on the medication for 1 year 1/2 I have experienced extreme mood swings/anger issues I have no reason to do this as life is good. What do you advise? Contact my spine Dr to change medication?
