What Causes Severe Nausea And Vomiting Despite Having Peritoneal Dialysis?

I have been feeling nauseated and have been vomitting at times for the last 2 weeks. The night before last I vomiited but this time it wasn t watery. I was almost like mud pies. It was a dark brown, not black and when vomitting it tasted gritty. Is this normal. It only happened once this way. All the other times the vomit has been watery. I haven t vomitted since that night, although I have still felt nauseated at times. I am also on peritoneal dialysis.

Hello,

Electrolyte imbalance and raised creatinine itself is a cause of nausea. Kindly get your KFT done and start taking domperidone daily after consulting your treating nephrologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhanu Partap, Cardiologist
