What Causes Severe Neck Pain After Taking Claritin?
My 8 year old daughter is taking Claritin chewables. having been on them for two days she is generally feeling unwell, tired, neckache and just feeling miserable. Maybe these are just not right for her. But having said that the itchy eyes and runny nose seem to have stopped. Are we swapping one problem for another?

Hi,
Claritin is not known to cause any pain in neck. The only possibility I see is, it can cause drowsiness and uncomfortable sleeping posture can cause stress and pain in the neck.
Application of over the counter medicine like Relaxil/pain pill like Ibugesic would relieve it mostly if not/or if neck pain is with fever and vomiting consult her doctor.
