What Causes Severe Neck Pain?

Hi ive been experiencing some pretty severe neck pains for about the pat month and its beginning to interfere with my sleeping at night. im only 20 years old, but its a steady pain ive noticed ever since I started a new job. im not sure if I should seek mecicinal help for this pain?
