What Causes Severe Oily Discharge From The Breast?
I am a 36 year old female who had a full hysterectomy at age 28. Today I started leaking a massive amount of an oily substance from my right breast. It looks as if someone poured a large glass of something on my shirt. Help. I do have a thyroid problem which I take 0.75mcg of synthroid for. I have soaked through 4 shirts, what could this be?
Your symptoms could be due to hormonal imbalance, Fibroadenoma, infection of breast tissue, duct papiloma, cystic disease of breast. I think you should consult the surgeon as early as possible for safer side.
You should go for following tests:
- Breast examination, Mammography, Hormonal assay - USG and Biopsy from breast if needed
Specific treatment will depend on cause. Wear full padded supportive bra. Do regular breathing and relaxation exercise.
Hope this may help you. Contact further if follow up needed.
Best regards, Dr. Sagar
