What Causes Severe Pain Above The Knee After Taking A Cortisone Shot?

hi ther I had cortisone shots in s1 joint today for second time, 1st 2 shots were done a month ago I have extreem pain and a hot spot above right knee. I was diagnosed with sacroliitis, but am concerned of bloodclot because I had a lung thrombosis in 1999 that almost killed me. please I do not have money to pay for an opinion but am willing to pay in 2 weeks when I have money or any other way I can IE: I can give you free room if you ever come to Canada (Ottawa, ON) I am an amazing cook and am willing to come to you and give free services as |i am OSMT licenced (Ontario society of medical technologists) Please help I really cant go to emerge because here there is a very long wait and sitting causes worst pain ever. If you think I should go then I will suck it up....

Hello,

Most probably it will be due to local inflammation.

As of now you can use analgesics/anti-inflammatory combination like aceclofenac/serratiopeptidase for symptomatic relief.

If symptoms persists better to consult an orthopaedician and plan for an MRI scan.
