What Causes Severe Pain Along With Popping Sound In Groin?
For a few weeks now, I ve been experiencing extreme pain in the groin area where my hips and my thighs connect. It hurts every time I walk for longer than 5 minutes and when I try to sit down. It hurts when I try to get into my car because I have to lift my leg to get in. Also, It makes a popping sound if I try to turn in a different direction from where I m standing. This makes normal tasks, like bending to tie my shoes, crouching, or even climbing stairs, extremely painful and impossible to do
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted your history of painful movements of the hip joint with popping sound for a few weeks. This is a classical case of hip arthropathy and to get a correct diagnosis I would advise you the following: - Get an MRI of the affected area to get an idea of internal damage. - Orthopedic Surgeon's opinion and further investigations. - Take full rest as doing more of the daily chores would adversely affect the joint and surroundings tissues. - Take Vitamin D supplements in therapeutic dosages. - Calcium to be taken orally. Once diagnosed, the treatment can be planned.
