What Causes Severe Pain And Burning Sensation In The Shin?

Almost a week ago I fell and hit my shin hard, to walk doesn t hurt but under my knee to about mid shin is swollen.to touch it feels slightly numb but when I get on my knees like trying to get up I get this horrible painful burning sensation that goes from the bottom of my knee down. After I did it a little while ago it has a discomfort with no pressure on it at all now. Should I go see a doctor?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,
Thanks for the query.
These symptoms are quite common with birth control pills.
As a first line management you can take antacids like omeprazole along with mefenemic acid for symptomatic relief.
Wishing all the best.
Thanks
