What Causes Severe Pain And Numbness In Fingers?

My fingers were swollen earlier today, my rt index the worst (which is also the worst of my raynauds fingers). Then I started to get sharp electric type pains in my rt index finger and later rt thumb with the slightest touch or use. This was accompanied by growing pins and needles all through my rt hand and getting lower. What could this be?
