What Causes Severe Pain And Swelling On Scar Of Ankle Surgery?
I had ankle surgery May 13,2014. I am still recuperating from Guillian Barre. I had a plate and 11 screws to hold my ankle together. I do therapy with a pt and at home. December 24 I began having severe pain above the scar and swelling. It has gone down after rest. The pain is horrendous. Is this normal ?!

as such Guillain barre syndrome causes numbness and tingling, weakness, and pain followed by muscle weakness beginning in the feet and hands.
severe pain and swelling in surgery scar is a matter of concern, it could be because of infection of scar
in my opinion you must consult your doctor immediately before it flare up further.
