What Causes Severe Pain Around The Hip Bone After A Colonoscopy?

I had a colonoscopy on Thursday (3 days ago). After about 30 hours (9pm at night) developed severe pain in lower left side near hip bone. About 1am woke with severe pain again but moved to sleep on other side and it improved. Passed gas the next day and while pain was still there in same spot it wasn t as severe. Today again pain is not as severe but still in same spot and feel pain a bit on lower right back. Have been able to pass gas and have had two bowel movements that were normal - no red or black. If pain is gas why is it always in the same spot and is it anything to be concerned about. I feel well otherwise.

Hello,

As you explain the history no I don't think this is something you should be worried about. Try to have a lot of liquids instead.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
