Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been diagnosed to have IC, and when I have a flare up I seem to have spasms, or muscle spasms, down my right leg that occur every 10 seconds or so. This will continue for hours or until I take a walk or sometimes I get relief from a hot sit bath. Is this part of IC, which normally I have a dead ache in my pelvic area, but the spasms I have tried to explain most always accompany the pelvic pain.
As first-line management, you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief. If symptoms persist better to consult an orthopedic and plan for an MRI scan.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
