Thank you for your query.

1)Did you have a recent cold, sinus or ear infection?
2)Any vomiting? Vision disturbances?
3)Any weakness of limbs?
4)Are you a diabetic, hypertensive or hyperlipidemic?
5)Any history of heart disease?
6 are you on any medication including blood thinners?

Your symptoms are highly suggestive of meningitis (inflammation of the membranes that surround the brain). Fever, neck pain, headache, drowsiness and giddiness all indicate it. This could be viral or bacterial and may follow a cold, sinus or ear infection. It may appear after an untreated too the infection as well.
I recommend you go to the ER or see your physician right away.

If treatment (antibiotics, anti edema medication and other supportive measures) are initiated early, it will prevent complications such as brain swelling and edema which interfere with your vital body functions (heart beat and blood pressure regulation, breathing etc.)

Other issues to rule out are stroke (of the posterior circulation - not detected on routine head CT. Will need MRI).
If diagnosis of meninf confirmed, expect to be hospitalized (ICU or high dependency unit if you need constant or close monitoring), I.V. Antibiotics will be administered in addition to other supportive medications.
Please have someone over with you till you are better. Seizures may occur with loss of consciousness and having someone with you will ensure that you reach the hospital in time and safely.

Please get back to us if you have further questions. Hope this helps. Wish you good health?
