What Causes Severe Pain At The Base Of The Big Toe?
Yes, yesterday I woke up with severe pain at the base of my big toe...I ve been treating it with an inflamatory substance from the health store...NewChapter Zyflament. It seems to help for a short time, but am wondering, since this is the first time I ve experienced this if I should wait a day or so before calling my Doctor.

It could be a infection,joint inflammation or gout
Exact diagnosis should be made by physical examination
I would suggest to undergo some blood test: CBC, ESR, Uric acid and xray of foot.
Meanwhile Take following advice:
Tablet DAN-SR, Give completely rest, Warm pad application, wear comfortable foot wear.
