What Causes Severe Pain Behind The Head And Neck?
Hi. I m experiencing neck and back of the head pain for 3 days. I went to urgent care today where I was tested for the flu but up it was negative. My pain level is 8 on a scale of 10 and I m trying to decide if I should go to the emergency room tonight or wait for my scheduled appointment tomorrow afternoon? What should I do?

Regarding your experience of severe pain at the back of your head i am suggesting that you have a cervical spondylitis
In view of this do a neck x-ray to rule out this condition
Meanwhile visit an orthopaedic specialist with the result and for further clinical assessment and adequate drug prescription
Moreover please take some analgesic pending your appointment
