What Causes Severe Pain Behind The Right Ear?

I am having severe pain behind my right ear approximately 1 running from above the ear down 3-3 inches. Started over 3 hours ago. Pain is pretty steady with occasional bursts of increased pain. On a level of 1-10, it s a 9. I am under care of a pain specialist for a long time. Have pain pump and take Dilaudid 4 mg every 6 hours as needed. Normally take 2 a day and they aren t touching this pain.

* Seems acute inflammatory process involving the area external or internal to the right ear.
* After clinical examination, I prefer to give precise antibiotic ( as cephalosporin group or else ), anti-inflammatory medicines to cure faster.
