What Causes Severe Pain Below The Calf Muscles?

I AM EXPERIENCING A RELATIVELY SHARP PAIN JUST BELOW CALF MUSCLE IN BACK OF LEG. JUST STARTED ABOUT 3 HOURS AGO. I AM IN PRETTY GOOD HEALTH, 6 185 #, AM WORK OUT WITH WEIGHTS & AM PRETTY ACTIVE. NOT SURE WHAT TO THINK BUT AM CONCERNED ABOUT BLOOD CLOT

I appreciate your knowledge...

You are right, Sharp calf muscle pain can be from deep vein thrombosis like blood clot problem

For that colour doppler needs to be done

If any history of trauma present then pain can be from inflammation....

Superficial skin infection, myositis etc can be another causes for pain

In DVT calf muscle pain as well as redness present

Consult physician for examination and further work up accordingly
