What Causes Severe Pain Below The Rib Cage?

I am having severe pain right below the rib cage. The pain goes to my back. Achy body. I went to the doctor yesterday they took x-rays and did an EKG. Both tests showed healthy heart and lungs. I was given pain pills and sent home. I don t know what it could be. The doctor was unsure what it is. Please help me. It is very painful.

Hello,

Most probably it is due to musculoskeletal causes like costochondritis.

As of now, you can use analgesics/anti-inflammatory combination like aceclofenac/serratiopeptidase for symptomatic relief.

If symptoms persist, it is better to consult a physician and get evaluated.
