What Causes Severe Pain During Urination After Having Intercourse?

DH and I were having sex just a little while ago, during I got reallllly wet, then felt a bad urge to pee.. I got even wetter but I know I didn t pee from the position we were in, it would have been noticable coming out.. Any ways I ran to the bath room and as soon as I sat pee im guessing came out, didn t feel like I need to let it out if you get what I am saying.. Now I am feeling pain in my sides, idk if it s contractions cuz its constant but then gets a sharp pain.... I don t want to go to the doctor again for nothing, I feel stupid..What do you think?

Hello,

I think you can wait and see for a day because the pain may be related to trauma of urethra. If the pain still continue and doesn't get better you may need to get tested for STD and urine analysis.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
