What Causes Severe Pain, Flushed Face And Rapid Heartbeat Post Tooth Extraction?

My husband had a tooth extraction three days ago and for the past day has been in a world of pain. Today he is very flushed in the face and neck. His heart is beating rapidly so hard I can see the pulse in his neck. He is extremely tired. Is this normal? Or serious?

So sorry to hear about your problem and will try my level best to resolve it..

As per your complain flushed face and neck after tooth extraction along with heart beating rapidly or palpitations along with tiredness can be due to side effects of medicines that must be given to him post extraction..
Pain after tooth extraction is not an abnormal finding but in case if the pain is severe then you need to consult your treating dentist to get checked for infection at the extraction site..
Also if the medicines are causing side effects or allergic reaction then you need to get them replaced with other alternate groups of medicines..
For pain higher painkillers like Ketorolac or TRAMADOL can be advised..
