Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I currently am experiencing severe pain primarily to the touch and movement on my right side, It is radiating a bit to my back and very painful down my leg to my shin and hip. A few days ago I experienced pain in my right chest/breast but has since just gone away. Last week it was very bad one day in my entire leg...groin to shin. Any ideas what this could be?
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic. I can understand your concern. By your history and description, possibility of right sided sciatica is more. Sciatica is compression of sciatic nerve at the level of lumber vertebra. Sciatic nerve supplies lower limb. So compression causes pain and tenderness in lower limb. So better to consult orthopedic doctor and get done clinical examination and x ray of lumber spine. You will need aggressive physiotherapy, avoidance of weight lifting and strenuous exercise. Warm water pad application on affected areas will also work. Loose weight if you are obese. Don't worry, you will be alright with all these. Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
