What Causes Severe Pain From Upper Leg Towards Knee Despite Taking Ibuprofen?

I have excruciating pain going down front of leg to knee, knee is extremely tender to touch at front like electric shocks but feels a bit numb as well. Also pain at top of leg at groin. I m female 60 year old and crying with pain. I m taking cocodamal and ibuprofen also tablet from doctor to kill nerve pain but it s not helping at all

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
What problems you are facing of severe pain in the upper leg could be due to muscular spasm. It has not been relieved despite taking Ibuprofen because it is only analgesic medication and it does not relieve muscle spasms.
Kindly do the following to overcome it.
1. Take Tablet. Diclofenac with Chloroxazone and Paracetamol twice a day combination after food.
2. Take Calcium supplementation in the form of tablet or syrup once a day for a week.
3. Take Electrolyte powder or Oral Rehydration Solution powder dissolved in water twice in a day.
4. Drink good quantity of water and fluids like tender coconut water daily.
5. Apply analgesic gel or ointment topically on the affected part during bedtime.
Gradually, your symptoms should subside and get better.
