What Causes Severe Pain In Back And Ankle Inspite Of Taking Oxycodone And Hydrocodone?

I am 67 year old female, 4 10 , 195 lbs. Due to a bad car wreck 42 years ago, I am not very active. I do water aerobics, 1 hour class, 2-3 times a week. My ankle is in bad shape. It was pretty much crushed in the wreck. I also broke the other one but it has never given me much problem. I have had one knee replacement & will need the other one eventually. My lower back is in bad shape, L3, L4 & L5 with spinal stenosis. I have had aches & pains for years. But lately am having more aches. I am stiff/sore first thing in morning, but then usually feel pretty good for several hours. Then I will get real sore & just achy all over. This doesn t happen every day, but is happening more & more. I have been on oxycodone for about 4 months & I know it helps, but isn t controlling the pain any longer. Previously I had been on hydrocodone for several years. I thought oxycodone would help more, but doesn t seem to be any better. Also, for last 2-3 months my eyes have been blurry, especially by middle of day, then may clear up. The blurry comes & goes, nothing specific or the same, & not all the time. Am I just whining or do I have a reason to go back to my doctor for further testing?

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, what the history of accident given here and the disability you have mentioned it is necessary to be in follow up regularly although your present symptom of blurred vision nothing to take anything with old history and it is better to see the eye surgeon, endocrine disease needs to be ruled out too, hope this information helps, take care.
