Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Severe Pain In Both Feet Post Herniated Discs Injury In Back And Neck?
Several months ago I was in a bad motor vehicle accident that caused herniated discs in my back and neck. Several months later I am experiencing painful areas on both feet. Just behind the small toe, on the under side of both my feet I have developed hard painful areas that make walking painful. I feel that the hard areas are painful ad may be caused by a change in my gait. What could these be?
Hi, these are neurological problems most likely due to the nerve compression at the spine level. You should see your Doctor or a Neurologist to see what it is. They would be able to tell you after examining you. You also might require Nerve conduction studies or a repeat XRay of your spine unless it is a local problem at the feet. Do not worry. Once you undergo examination it should get cleared up. Take care, Dr Rishi, New Delhi, India.
