What Causes Severe Pain In Ear,jaw And Neck After Tooth Removal?
I went to my local dentist got a tooth pulled later on had bone fragments thought ok no problem to Len but now I'm haveing major ear jaw n neck pain so I went back to the dentist he gave me penicillin and oxycodone and told me it looks like it's healing well but I'm still in major pain even with the pain killers what can I do it helps to build a little pressure up n my head it relieves the pain what is a good solution to this problem
As per your query severe pain in ear, jaw, neck after tooth removal is because of persistence of infection in that area. Infection is getting spread to other area and when ever you lay down it builds pressure and cause severe pain.
Bone fragments which you are talking about could be because of incomplete tooth removal and root is still there in the socket which is spreading infection. I would suggest you to visit dentist and get X-ray done. Take proper antibiotic course to subside the infection and after that if any bone fragments visible on x-ray get them extracted, otherwise there are chances of cyst formation which can cause jaw bone resorption.
Do warm saline gargles three times a day. Maintain proper oral hygiene with antimicrobial mouth wash. Hope your concern has been resolved.
