What Causes Severe Pain In Feet Post An Injury?

Hi I dropped a heavy thin metal bar on the top of my foot at work last week there is very little bruising and the swelling went down however whenever anything touches the top of my foot the pain has been horrible. I cannot put it in a sneaker or boot as it causes extreme pain otherwise I can walk just fine. I have been getting a random pain up my entire leg and I am unsure if it could be related

Hi,

1. According to the history given by you, it feels as if you have suffered some kind of muscle injury or bone fracture. So for that, you need to visit orthopedics so that he can evaluate your symptoms and give you wise treatment.

2. For the time being, you can take an anti-inflammatory to relieve the pain and swelling on your foot.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Harshita, Infectious Diseases Specialist
