What Causes Severe Pain In Foot Caused After Injury?

I was doing a qymanatics rounds off on a hard floor, once I landed i felt a severe pain go up my foot. There was no swelling, or bruising. I couldn t walk on it for days. Now after a week it doesn t hurt too bad but everyone in a while the pain will randomly come back, causing me to limp. What happened to my foot? Could this be serious?

Please consult an Orthopaedic Specialist for examination and XRay of foot to see if its merely a foot sprain or there is some fracture.
