What Causes Severe Pain In Foot On Placement Of Metal Plate?
I had surgery back in November I got a metal plate put in my foot. my nerves haven t healed and it sucks. My Grandma gave me a Opana 10 mg instance release. Honestly its been the only thing to help. It will be a few months before I can get into pain management, I was thinking of going to the emergency room tomorrow. Will they even help me? I wouldn t ask but the other stuff they gave me doesn t work. Does ERs even prescribe that I plan on going to Shands in Starke Florida. Amy advice would help/ Thank you Stephanie
As you have constant pain in foot, it is better to go to the surgeon who operated on you for the following: 1) Detailed clinical examination 2) X-ray foot to see the plate position. 3) If necessary CT foot.
For now, I can advise you few pain medications 1) NSAIDs like ibuprofen and Naproxen can be taken twice daily. 2) NSAIDs are not recommended if you have any bleeding problems and severe peptic ulcer disease. 3) Tab. Pantop 40 mg is to be taken once daily before food. 4) Opioids like hydrocodone, oxycodone and Tramadol can also be used in the place of NSAIDs for pain relief.
But please do not neglect and go to the operated surgeon as soon as possible.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
