General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The herniated disc on L5 and S1 you are having may be causing the compression on the nerve. The compression gives you the numbness and the pain on leg. You may need surgery to treat herniation.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
