What Causes Severe Pain In Hand And Wrist?

Ive been having a lot of pain in my hand and wrist since i got it caught in a door. i cant write or lift anything. i can barely move it without pain shooting up. Im not sure what to do. ive tried ice and heat but nothing helps it at all. What should i do? whats causing the pain?

I am Dr.Nitasha Khan. I have read you question completely, i understand your concern and will try to help you in best way possible.
depends on how many days back you got your hand injured was any thing fractured like did you get the xray done ....bones in hand and wrist are very delicate and can fracture easily ...if there was no fracture then your muscles must be hurt which wil be causing the pain they wil take time to heal a month or so mean while if you were my patient i wuld have advised you to take panadol and also rub voltral gel over your hand you wil be fine
