What Causes Severe Pain In Heel Causing Difficulty To Walk?

I have a painful heel, (right side, back edge) mostly when first arising in the AM. Hard to walk on until I stretch it out and still is somewhat sore all the time. I woke up with it about 2 months ago when I first stood up and is always there. I m 62 years old. Thank you.

You have problem of severe heel pain that may be because of over stress at heel region.Heavy weight cause heel pain.

You are 62 year old so chanses of arthritis is more.
Planter fascilitus cause inflammation of planter fascia this is one of the reson for heel pain.

Inflammation of bursa cause heel bursitis problem.
Gout may cause heel pain.
X ray is helpful for diagnose.

Tarsal tunnel syndrom may cause nerve compression that cause heel pain.
MRI is helpful for further diagnosis.

Consent a physician for further diagnosis.
