Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had a hip replacement 1 year ago and for about the past month I have been having sever pain in the bottom of my foot on my heel when I stand up after sitting for a short period. After I walk a bit it goes away. If I press on the bottom of my heel when I am sitting I get a shooting pain that radiates up to my hip. I am pretty sure it is not gout.
Hi, From history it seems that due to hip replacement surgery there might be having some uneven gait while walking giving rise more pressure on heel and tendon tendo-achillies producing some stiffness giving this problem. After little movement spasm will be relieved and produces easy walking after wards. Go for some exercise of heel and tendon. Apply muscle relaxant cream locally. Go for hot and clod application alternatively. Ok aqnd take care.
