What Causes Severe Pain In Heel?

I am having heel pain in my left foot. I am overweight, but I do walk at least 2 miles a day, one mile am, and one mile pm. I have Dr. made orthotics for plantar fasciaitis SP?, but my orthotics are at least 12 yrs old. They look fine , but wondering if getting a new pair from the Dr. would help this situation. I did not have insurance all that time, but do now. I am still smoking, but have cut down a lot!

Severe pain in heel may be due to vitamin deficiency also so better to go for blood test after consulting your physician to isolate the cause. You can take combiflam or zerodol-sp for severe pain along with meganeuron-od plus once daily. Take some calcium supplement also like toscal-gem or shalcal one daily.
