Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had a very sore right heel for a few weeks and my left heel also hurts somewhat. I have not bruised either heel and am wondering if this could be caused by a tight tendon, arthritis, or what as I have not experience this before - I almost have to limp when I first get up and it hurts to walk, but I do anyway. Usually wear dress shoes but tennis shoes feel much better. Suggestions/idea? Thank you so much. YYYY@YYYY
* As per my surgical experience, the condition with hurting to walk on waking up is almost always in concern with plantar calcaneal spur (tiny bony overgrowth over the surface).
* Though usual home measures as heating pad, soft padded slippers, and analgesic tablets will relieve some pain amount, an X-ray of the heel with an orthopedic opinion is best recommended to solve in best medical way.
Website would like further inputs from you at any point of time.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
