What Causes Severe Pain In Jaw Radiating To Chest?

I have been experiencing excruciating jaw pain that travels to my chest which feels like a vice, these I know are symptoms of heart attack or panic attack but it happens when I am completely at rest and ease. I have been examined many times and my heart is fine, been rushed to hospital by ambulance twice, blood tests etc and no answer. What are they missing, what is the reason for these attacks, they happen every few months and are becoming more frequent. HELP!!

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have headache , dizziness and fatigue . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query , but in your case the symptoms seems to be occurring due to either of two things :-

- Firstly due to acid reflux problem .

- Secondly due to TMJ problem .

I would suggest you to consult dentist for proper examination . Doctor will take history and examine physically with probe or bite plane . Doctor may give night guard , guide you for correct bite plane or refer you to oral surgeon for TMJ surgery in server case . Doctor may also refer you to gastroenterologist for acid reflux . For now do relaxing exercises like meditation , eat light , non spicy and non fatty specially at night , take light walk after every meal and take antacid after every meal .
