Hi,

The diabetes of this long a duration may have chances of causing chronic kidney disease and in turn, renal osteo-dystrophy, that is a bone disease. You need to consult your doctor as soon as possible and get your blood tests like vitamin D levels, serum calcium, renal function tests and parathyroid hormone levels.

Wishing you a speedy recovery. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
