What Causes Severe Pain In Left Hip Area?
severe pain in left hip area, started Friday about noon. have a hard time getting out of bed, restricted movement, difficult to dress, put on shoes, bend over, first time I have had this. I am usually active, no strains or heavy activity before the pain set in.

Can you mention your age? Any recent history of fever? It is difficult to comment on the cause without examining. If there was no history of fall or other trauma, try taking analgesics like Acetaminophen or Ibuprofen for 3 days. If no relief, we can evaluate further.
